The second leg in Pool D of the CEV Champions League had something of a historic flavour about it for the Savino Del Bene Scandicci team, that brought the most important European club competition back to Florence.   Carlo Parisi’s players made their European début at the Mandela Forum in Florence, against ?KS Commercecon ?ód?, a team that on the eve of the match was topping the Pool, thanks to the three points they had won as a result of their 3-0 win against Palmberg Schwerin. Haak delivered another outstanding performance and her 22 points meant she was the game’s top scorer. Savino Del Bene started really well, taking an early 5-1 lead, with ?ód? forever chasing thereafter. But Savino Del Bene demonstrated they were in firm control of the match, which they managed to win without difficulty. This meant that Savino Del Bene were able to celebrate both their first historic win in the CEV Champions League and their pool-topping position.
